[Case Study] Automation of Manual Sheet Cutting
Achieved cost reduction! Successfully reduced personnel costs while maintaining production quantity.
We would like to introduce a case study of the "automation of manual sheet cutting" handled by Takaki Manufacturing Co., Ltd. In this case, the operator was cutting only the unnecessary parts of the sheet attached to the product's ring, which required one part-time worker to be dedicated to the task, putting pressure on labor costs. Additionally, there were safety and health issues due to the use of cutters. Therefore, we developed and implemented a device that automatically cuts the sheets attached in a ring shape. As a result, the need for an operator was eliminated, and while maintaining the production quantity per hour, we successfully reduced labor costs. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - Pressure on labor costs - Safety and health issues ■Results - Cost reduction - Prevention of human error - Multifaceted effects of process automation - Strengthening of quality control systems *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
